Bicycling Western Australia and Youth Focus have come together to present a new and exciting event for Perth Luminocity – Night Ride Perth.

Youth Focus

Youth Focus is an independent Western Australian for-purpose organisation working to stop youth suicide.  Established in 1994, Youth Focus works with young people aged 12-25 to help them overcome issues associated with depression, anxiety, self-harm and suicidal thoughts through the provision of free and professional face-to-face individual and family counseling and other mental health services.

Each year, about 2,500 young people and their families will visit a Youth Focus centre, one of 40 school locations, or an outreach centre for help.  The average length of counseling engagement is about six months.  In 2016, it is estimated that more than 15,000 people will take part in the Youth Focus preventative and educational programs.

No young person should be denied the chance to lead a meaningful life by struggling with mental illness alone.  By supporting this event and raising funds, you will enable Youth Focus to continue its services to help young people and save young lives from suicide.

We believe that bike riding gives people the freedom to create a healthier future – a healthier body, a healthier mind, a healthier environment, a healthier transport system and a healthier Western Australia.

Bicycling Western Australia wants to make bike riding a part of everyday life and we are working to make it easier, safer and more accessible for all Western Australians. We are proudly an independent, membership-based organisation focused entirely on the people of Western Australia.

Your support of Luminocity will enable us to continue to represent your interests and that of all the people who want to ride a bike in Western Australia.  We are the respected and dominant voice of bike riding through close cooperation with government, policy and decision makers, stakeholders and the wider community.
